Report: Stoke City target Bayern Munich defender

Mark Hughes is reportedly hoping to add Bayern Munich defender Mitchell Weiser to his Stoke City squad.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes is reportedly determined to bolster his defensive options this summer by signing Bayern Munich right-back Mitchell Weiser.

The 21-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and is believed to have been told by Bayern head coach Pep Guardiola that he does not feature in his plans for the future.

That has alerted Everton and a host of Bundesliga clubs, but Hughes is also interested, according to The Mirror.

Weiser, who has been used sparingly this term, joined Bayern from Koln back in 2012.
