Romelu Lukaku is reportedly set to miss Belgium's first two World Cup games against Canada and Morocco due to a thigh injury.

Belgium international Romelu Lukaku is reportedly set to miss his country's first two World Cup games through injury.

The 29-year-old returned to Inter Milan on loan in the summer, but he has only featured in four Serie A games this term due to injury issues.

Despite his lack of playing time, Belgium's record goalscorer was included in Roberto Martinez's squad for the World Cup.

According to the Daily Mail, a thigh problem is expected to prevent Lukaku from featuring in Belgium's first two games against Canada and Morocco.

The report claims that the Chelsea loanee is in a race against time to recover for the final group game against Croatia on December 1.

In Lukaku's absence, Martinez still has a number of forward options available to him, including Lois Openda, Michy Batshuayi and Dries Mertens.
