Benfica striker Oscar Cardozo has apologised for shoving coach Jorge Jesus after their Portuguese cup final defeat to Vitoria Guimaraes on Sunday.
The Paraguayan forward pushed the boss following their loss before angrily gesturing towards the players on the substitutes' bench.
However, after the game, the striker took to his Facebook page to issue an apology for his reaction to the result.
"I apologise to all Benfica fans and want you to know I have this club in my heart," he wrote.
"It was a terrible and nerve wrecking end of season and I hope you never doubt my passion. I love Benfica."
Despite being on course for the Treble just a few weeks ago, the Lisbon outfit ended their campaign with no silverware after being pipped to the title by Porto as well as losing to Chelsea in the Europa League final two weeks ago.
