Bournemouth 'leading £5m Demarai Gray chase'

Demarai Gray will reportedly leave Birmingham City at the end of the season, with Bournemouth favourites to land the £5m-rated forward.

Birmingham City are reportedly ready to sell teenage striker Demarai Gray at the end of the season.

The 18-year-old forward was the subject of intense speculation linking him with a move away from St Andrew's during the January transfer window.

However, with Gray having failed to score since, The Mirror claims that Bournemouth are now in prime position to sign the frontman.

It is thought that the striker is unwilling to sign a new deal with the West Midlands outfit and, with his current contract set to expire in 2016, Birmingham are resigned to selling the player rather than lose him on a free transfer.

City face local rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon.
