Steve Kean has said that all the pressure in the upcoming match between Blackburn and Sunderland will be on new Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill.
Under-fire Kean, 44, hopes to take advantage of the weight of expectation surrounding O'Neill's first match in charge.
"There will be massive expectation on Sunderland, such is the way in that area of the country where the supporters are fanatical," said the Blackburn boss.
"I think their fans will be expecting that something is going to happen this weekend so there will be big pressure on them.
"There is an expectation now Martin has gone in there and the fans will immediately be thinking there's going to be a change in the way they play."
Blackburn have only won twice this season and find themselves in 18th place knowing that a win on Sunday will mean they leapfrog Sunderland and climb out of the bottom three.
