Paul Lambert: 'Blackburn Rovers deserved more'

Blackburn Rovers were deserving of all three points from their Championship clash with Nottingham Forest, according to manager Paul Lambert.

Paul Lambert has insisted that his Blackburn Rovers side deserved more than the one point that they collected from their 0-0 draw with Nottingham Forest this evening.

Hosting Rovers had 10 shots in total at Ewood Park, five of which they landed on target. However, despite their domination, they were unable to get the better of Dorus de Vries in the Forest goal.

"I thought we deserved more than the point. The first 45 [minutes] was the best football that we've played since we've been here," Lambert told the club's official website.

"With the tempo we played in the first half, it was impossible to maintain that in the second."

Rovers have collected 11 points from Lambert's first five matches in charge.
