Venky's allow Steve Kean to coach Blackburn Rovers' Boxing Day match against Liverpool but are in the hunt for a new boss, according to reports.

Steve Kean will reportedly be on the touchline for Blackburn Rovers when they face Liverpool on Boxing Day, despite increasing pressure of dismissal from the Blackburn supporters.

The Scotsman is expected to be given one last chance from Indian owners Venky's, but it has become apparant that the 44-year-old will be sacked from the board, according to the Daily Mail.

It is believed that the Rovers hierarchy are searching for a new boss, with Graeme Souness and Alan Shearer being touted as potential replacements.

Mark Hughes has also been linked with a return to his former club, but reports have suggested that the Welshman will turn down the offer.
