Blackpool reportedly end interest in recently-sacked Nigel Adkins, who has yet to return calls from the Championship side.

Blackpool have reportedly ended their pursuit of recently-sacked Southampton manager Nigel Adkins.

The 47-year-old was thought to have received an approach from the Seasiders just a day after getting sacked from his position at St Mary's.

Despite the Championship side's interest, it is believed that Adkins has yet to return calls from Blackpool's chairman Karl Oyston and is due to go on holiday today, according to the Blackpool Gazette.

Blackpool have been looking for a new boss in the last 11 days since Michael Appleton opted for a switch to Blackburn Rovers.
