Mansfield Town boss Paul Cox is reportedly one of the candidates for the managerial vacancy at Blackpool.
The Championship outfit have already been knocked back in their approach to hold talks with Dundee United coach Jackie McNamara.
However, it has now emerged that Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has placed Cox on his shortlist, according to Sky Sports News.
The Seasiders have been hunting for a new manager following the departure of Barry Ferguson, who took on a caretaker role after the removal of Paul Ince at the start of the year.
Cox, who has been Mansfield boss since 2011, finished the 2013-14 campaign with the club 11th in the League Two table.
