Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish is reportedly planning a summer bid for Blackpool goalkeeper Matt Gilks.
Villa goalkeeping coach Terry Gennoe watched the 29-year-old as the Seasiders were held to a 1-1 draw by Hull City on Friday night.
Shay Given and Brad Guzan are currently the two main stoppers at Villa Park, but the American's contract is up at the end of the season.
McLeish is keen for Gilks to come in and provide competition for the Irish number one, according to The Mirror
Despite frequently featuring in Craig Levein's Scotland squads, Gilks has yet to make his international debut.
