Bolton boss Owen Coyle says that his side are 'better than what they showed' following their 2-0 loss to Norwich on Saturday afternoon.

Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle has admitted that his side 'never got to the level they are capable of' during their 2-0 loss to Norwich on Saturday afternoon.

Coyle also felt that his side controlled the early stages of the second period, before losing two late goals.

"I feel we never got to the level we are capable of. I take nothing away from Norwich ... but from my part I think we are better than what we showed," Coyle told Sky Sports News.

"In the second half we felt for ten or 15 minutes we got a grip of it, we looked a real threat ... but Norwich might have felt the same."

Coyle also reserved words of praise for Tyrone Mears, who returned to the side after suffering a broken leg in the summer.

"If there is any positives to come out of today, then it is great to see Tyrone back in the jersey," he added.

Bolton remain 18th in the Premier League table.
