Dougie Freedman not worried about losing Bolton Wanderers job

Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman insists that he is not worried losing his job.

Bolton Wanderers manager Dougie Freedman has insisted that he is not worried about being sacked.

The Trotters are still without a win in the Championship this season after falling to a 3-1 away defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

"I think my job is very safe," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying. "I don't ignore speculation surrounding my job but I don't feel the pressure of it.

"When you've been in the game for so long, you learn to deal with speculation about being sacked. It doesn't faze me at all and it's my job to take the blame away from my players.

"I understand more than anyone exactly what we have to do to turn things around. We need a couple of players in on loan and time to gel as a team."

Bolton are currently at the foot of the table with three points from eight matches.
