Championship outfit Bolton Wanderers have signed Cardiff City striker Joe Mason on loan until January.
The 22-year-old, who has scored 18 goals in 70 appearances for the Bluebirds, joins his teammate Kevin McNaughton in temporarily swapping Wales for the Reebok Stadium.
Mason will compete for a starting position in Dougie Freeman's starting XI with David N'Gog, Jermaine Beckford and Robert Hall, who have scored six league goals between them this campaign.
Bolton will have the former Plymouth Argyle forward at their disposal for nine Championship fixtures, and will be hoping that he can help them continue to recover from their slow start to the season.
Freeman's side are unbeaten in their last seven games, a run that has taken them to 17th in the table.
