Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Blaszczykowski has agreed terms on a new five-year deal with the club.

The Poland international has extended his stay with the Champions League finalists until the summer of 2018.

The 27-year-old said that he was "proud" that Dortmund wanted him to spend the peak years of his playing career at the club.

"It makes me extremely proud that a big club like Borussia Dortmund have shown such faith in me and are planning ahead long term with me," Bundesliga.com quotes Blaszczykowski as saying. "I've long felt this is my second home."
