Lucas Moura thinks that Brazil are still trying to find the right formula for success in the absence of star names from the past.

Brazil winger Lucas Moura has admitted that the national team is still struggling to find its identity without a spine of experienced stars.

Selecao coach Mano Menezes has been widely criticised after defeat in the Olympic final this summer was followed by a string of uninspiring friendly victories.

Moura believes that the supporters need to give a young team time to find its feet ahead of the 2014 World Cup.

He told Goal.com: "People are a little impatient I guess.

"I know that the Selecao isn't having its best moments, Menezes is still looking for a way to make this team click. I always said that before you had players like Roberto Carlos, Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Cafu, who were the 'face' of the Brazilian squad.

"But this isn't happening anymore, and we have to get something similar from the current generation. It's not a simple task regaining the the supporters' trust, but they will play a big part in our World Cup campaign."

Moura will move to Paris Saint-Germain early in 2013 after the French giants agreed a deal to pay Sao Paulo more than £30m for the 20-year-old's services.
