Santos president Luis Alvaro Ribeiro has hailed Neymar for his physical stamina to play for his club and his country Brazil on successive days.

The 20-year-old featured for Brazil in their comfortable 3-0 victory over Sweden in a friendly international on Wednesday before turning out for Santos against Figueirense a day later.

Santos was instrumental in Santos's win on Thursday, scoring a goal and providing an assist in their 3-1 away triumph, leading Ribeiro to liken him to Superman.

"I suspect that his father came from Krypton and brought the boy to Earth in a rocket, because the only thing that makes sense is if he is Superman," he joked to Globo Esporte.

Neymar is rated as one of the finest young players in world football and helped Brazil reached the final of the London Olympics earlier this month.
