Mathys Tel has reportedly signalled that he wants to join Manchester United, with the Red Devils pushing to sign the Bayern Munich forward before the January transfer window closes for business.
The 19-year-old informed Bayern last week that he wants to leave Allianz Arena before the end of the winter market, and a number of Premier League clubs have been linked with his services.
Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have had an offer in the region of €60m (£50m) accepted by Bayern, only for the forward to make it clear that he was not interested in joining Ange Postecoglou's side.
Tel was not in the Bayern squad for Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Holstein Kiel amid the speculation surrounding his future, with Chelsea, Arsenal and Man United allegedly all pushing to sign him.
However, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg, the forward has now made a decision, with Man United now firmly at the head of the queue to sign him before Monday night's deadline.

Tel 'decides to join Man United'
Plettenberg claims that "concrete negotiations are underway", although the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement, as Bayern have thus far 'not been satisfied' by the offers from Man United.
"Been told Mathys Tel has decided to join Manchester United with immediate effect. Concrete negotiations are underway between Bayern and MUFC," Plettenberg posted on X.
"Man Utd have submitted a loan offer, which Bayern immediately rejected. Bayern are not satisfied with the offered package from England. Bayern are pushing for an obligation to buy or a permanent transfer. Complicated. Talks are ongoing. Arsenal, not off."
Tel has failed to find the back of the net in 14 appearances for Bayern this term, but he has scored 16 goals and registered seven assists in 83 outings for the Munich giants in all competitions.

What has Amorim said on late January arrivals?
Man United head coach Ruben Amorim was asked about potential late incomings during his press conference following Sunday's 2-0 home defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
"We are trying everything to improve the team, without doing mistakes of the past, trying to balance the urgency of the moment," the Portuguese told reporters.
"When the window is closed we will see the players. I am focused to improve the team as a group. We need to win more games. This season is like that. Small improvements and then we have setbacks."
Man United presented two new signings to the club's fans ahead of the clash against Palace, with defenders Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu both completing moves to the 20-time English champions over the weekend.
