Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is reportedly the subject of a criminal investigation regarding alleged unpaid taxes.

Portuguese officials have claimed that the matter involving the 65-year-old is in relation to alleged tax avoidance during his time as Portugal coach.

A statement from Scolari to The AP said: "I have correctly filed all my tax returns. In all the countries where I've worked, I've always declared my income. If anything is wrong, it's not my fault. I hope justice gets to the bottom of the facts."

According to newspaper Folha de S Paulo, around €7m were not declared to the tax authorities during Scolari's stint in the country.
