Preview: Brentford vs. Millwall

Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between playoff-chasing Brentford and relegation-threatened Millwall.

Brentford return to action against Millwall on Saturday after fighting hard to collect three more points in their bid for promotion in midweek.

Mark Warburton's side recovered from two matches without a win by coming from behind twice to beat Blackburn Rovers 3-2 at Ewood Park.

The victory kept Brentford sixth in the Championship, but Warburton will be fully aware that his side must maintain their form with eighth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers sitting just three points behind.

Andre Gray came off the bench to score the winner against Rovers, and it looks like he will be battling it out with Chris Long, who also scored in the win, for a place in the starting lineup.

Brentford may be looking up, but Millwall find themselves in a very different position with eight games left in the season.

New manager Neil Harris has been unable to produce a reaction since replacing Ian Holloway, although he may be boosted by the team's performance in the goalless draw with Brighton & Hove Albion in midweek.

However, with eight points currently separating them from safety, spirited displays simply are not enough for a side that will need to string together a run of wins sooner rather than later.

Despite missing out on a crucial win earlier in the week, Harris is unlikely to make changes to his side, which means Lee Gregroy could lead the attack once again.

Brentford came out on top when these two sides met in the reverse fixture back in November thanks to a 3-2 victory at The Den.
