Marco Djuricin completes Brentford switch

Red Bull Salzburg centre-forward Marco Djuricin finalises a season-long loan switch to Championship side Brentford.

Brentford have completed the signing of Red Bull Salzburg striker Marco Djuricin on a season-long loan deal.

The Austrian has arrived at Griffin Park as a replacement for Andre Gray, who recently switched to Championship rivals Burnley.

"With Andre Gray leaving us, we needed a new striker who was similar in style and with Marco we have found a very good replacement," head coach Marinus Dijkhuizen told the club's official website.

"He is used to playing at a very high level and has experience of international football. He is a good finisher but also has specific qualities that can suit us, like running in behind defenders."

Djuricin joined Salzburg in January and he went on to score six goals in 21 outings.
