Former Burnley striker Ade Akinbiyi believes that the current squad is the "best" that has been assembled at Turf Moor in "a very long time".
Despite not being regarded among the favourites to secure promotion to the Premier League at the start of the campaign, the second-placed Clarets are on the verge of claiming a place in next season's top flight.
Their success has been particularly lauded due to the fact that manager Sean Dyche has used just 22 players this term.
However, despite having a relatively small squad at his disposal, Akinbiyi has told Sports Mole that his ex-Bristol City teammate Dyche has some quality options to select from.
"Sean Dyche has always been a focused guy and it seems that he has taken that into his managerial role. He's got a small squad there, but in terms of quality, he's assembled the best squad that they've had there in a very long time. He has done a remarkable job," said Akinbiyi.
Two victories from their remaining four matches will guarantee promotion for Burnley.
