Burnley appeal Michael Duff red card

Burnley appeal the red card that Michael Duff was shown against West Ham on Saturday.

Burnley have lodged an appeal to overturn the red card that Michael Duff was shown during the team's 1-0 defeat to West Ham United on Saturday.

The defender was sent off for a foul on Cheikhou Kouyate which led to Mark Noble's winning penalty midway through the first half at Upton Park.

Saturday's narrow loss means that bottom-placed Burnley must win their final three games of the season if they want to stay in the Premier League.

The Clarets are back in action this weekend when they make the trip to fellow strugglers Hull City.
