Sean Dyche: 'Moussa Sissoko should have been sent off'

Burnley manager Sean Dyche believes that Moussa Sissoko should have been sent off for a challenge on Stephen Ward in their 2-1 loss at Tottenham Hotspur.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has claimed that Moussa Sissoko should have been sent off for a challenge on Stephen Ward in their 2-1 loss at Tottenham Hotspur.

With the scores level at 1-1, Sissoko was given a yellow card after a high, late tackle on Ward.

Moments later, the France international set up Danny Rose's winning goal to secure a third successive Premier League victory for Spurs.

"It's a poor challenge. He's got to go off," Dyche told Sky Sports News.

"We can't really land a big decision at the moment we're hoping that will turn and that player, who in my opinion should be off the field of play, then sets up their goal.

"I'm very frustrated on that score because my players have not only put in a physical shift today but I think we've played some good stuff. A lot of people travelled a long way to support us today so I'm disappointed for them."

The result saw Burnley slip to 16th in the Premier League table.
