Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has revealed that he is pleased with how his first training session went as the new Burton Albion manager.
The 42-year-old was named as Burton's latest manager on Wednesday after taking over from Gary Rowett.
"It went very well. The boys looked sharp, they had a good session, I'm very pleased," the former Leeds United and Chelsea striker told Sky Sports News.
In only his second managerial job since retiring as a player, Hasselbaink says he believes that he has enough knowledge to take Burton to the next level.
"Since I've been out of work I've been watching a lot of football, and I've watched quite a bit in League Two and League One and also obviously in the Championship, but I'm quite familiar with League Two.
"Gary has done exceptionally well here and we're going to try and push that on and keep the positive vibe that is at the club at this moment in time."
Burton sit fifth in the League Two table, just three points behind leaders Wycombe Wanderers.
