Burton Albion manager Gary Rowett expects the club to be very active during the upcoming January transfer window.

Burton Albion manager Gary Rowett has said that he expects the club to be very active during the January transfer window.

The Brewers currently sit ninth in the League Two table, just one point below the final playoff place.

While he insists that he is very happy with the players currently at his disposal, Rowett admits that he is keen to add to his squad.

"I anticipate being very busy." said Rowett. "I think when any transfer window opens you are always looking to improve.

"I think the players in the current squad have done very well and I think we can improve further as a team with the players we have got here.

"But I think you are always looking for one or two additions, as well as thinking about moving one or two lads on."

Calvin Zola is Burton's top goalscorer this season, having hit the net nine times in 19 appearances.
