Former Arsenal and Middlesbrough defender Justin Hoyte has been handed a trial at Burton Albion.
The 30-year-old is a free agent after being released by Millwall earlier this summer.
Albion are currently light in the right-back position following a long-term injury to Kelvin Maynard.
"We've got Justin Hoyte training with us at the moment," manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink told the Burton Mail.
"He has that experience at right-back but there is no deal done and nothing has been offered at the moment. He's just training with us, getting fit and seeing if he likes it here."
Burton are back in League One action on Saturday when they host Peterborough United.
