10-man Groningen lose at Cambuur

Cambuur beat 10-man Groningen 3-0 to move up to third in the Eredivisie standings.

Cambuur moved up to third in the Eredivisie standings thanks to a 3-0 victory over Groningen this afternoon.

It took until the 52nd minute for the home side to break the deadlock when Manchester City loanee Albert Rusnak stole in behind the defence to score.

Any chance that the visitors had of getting back into the contest were then dented nine minutes later when Rasmus Lindgren was dismissed for a second bookable offence.

The hosts went on to make their numerical advantage count in the closing stages as goals from Bartholomew Ogbeche and Sander van der Streek made sure of the outcome.
