Catania to return for Johnny Russell?

Italian outfit Catania are reportedly preparing a third bid for Dundee United striker Johnny Russell.

The 23-year-old, who has scored 20 goals for the club this season, is regarded as one of the best players in the Scottish Premier League.

The Serie A outfit have twice failed with offers for the forward, but according to Sky Sports News, another bid is being prepared.

Russell is under contract with Dundee United until the summer of 2014.
