Rafael Benitez admits that Chelsea need to get lucky to qualify for the Champions League last 16, but is confident that Shakhtar Donetsk will defeat Juventus.

Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez had admitted that his side need a "bit of luck" to progress to the Champions League last 16.

The reigning European champions, who are currently third in Group E, need to beat Nordsjaelland at home on Wednesday and hope that Shakhtar Donetsk and Juventus do not play out a draw.

"Do we need a miracle to go through? I don't think it's a miracle," said Benitez. "We have to do our job and wait for the other teams. Shakhtar are a very good team and I think they can beat Juventus.

"So no, it's not a miracle – sometimes we need a bit of luck. The only thing I can try is to win our game – I have confidence that Shakhtar can beat Juventus.

"They have players that want to be seen around the world. They know they have to perform."

Nordsjaelland are at the bottom of the group with just one point from five matches.
