Roy Hodgson yet to contact John Terry

Former England captain John Terry is still waiting to hear whether he is in the frame for England's Euro 2012 squad.

Former England captain John Terry has said that he has yet to have any contact with national team coach Roy Hodgson.

The Chelsea defender is waiting to hear whether he will feature in the newly-appointed manager's plans for this summer's Euro 2012.

Terry's place in the England setup remains in the balance following a much-publicised race row with Queens Park Rangers' Anton Ferdinand last October.

The 31-year-old, who was stripped of the captain's armband in the wake of the incident, faces a court trial in July for the alleged racial abuse.

Hodgson previously said that he will hold discussions with Terry and Ferdinand's brother Rio - who is also in contention for an England place - but has yet to contact the Chelsea man.

"I've not had any call yet but I'm focusing on the league and Chelsea at the moment," the defender told Sky Sports News.

"Hopefully, I get the call and I'm in the squad - and that goes for many of us here. I'll always be there for my country."

Hodgson will take up the England post full-time after the Premier League season's conclusion on Sunday.
