Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Chelsea ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture with Burnley.

Chelsea return to Premier League action at the weekend as they play host to Burnley at Stamford Bridge.

Having recorded seven points from four games in the top flight over the Christmas and New Year period, Chelsea made progress in the FA Cup on Sunday courtesy of a 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

However, Frank Lampard is expected to revert back to what he perceives to be his strongest starting lineup after making nine changes for the meeting with the Championship side.

Marcos Alonso

Possible return date: January 11 (vs. Burnley)

Lampard revealed last week that Alonso has been absent in recent weeks due to an injury to the top of his glute. However, with the issue only being described as minor, the left-back may return this weekend.

Possible return date: Unknown

Despite appearing to be making progress in his recovery from a serious Achilles injury, no date has been pencilled in for Loftus-Cheek's return to competitive action.
