How Chelsea could line up against Burnley

Ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Burnley, Sports Mole looks at how the Blues could line up at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea head into Saturday's Premier League fixture with Burnley holding a five-point advantage over the chasing pack in the race for fourth position.

Despite a surprise defeat to Southampton on Boxing Day, the Blues recorded seven points from four games over the Christmas and New Year period.

However, Frank Lampard finds himself still looking for a solution to his team's poor run at Stamford Bridge, with three defeats coming since the end of November.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how the West Londoners may line up for the meeting with the Clarets.

Having scored against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup last weekend, Callum Hudson-Odoi is expected to get the nod over Christian Pulisic on the left flank.

Lampard made a total of nine alterations for the clash against the Championship outfit, meaning that his usual first-choice players should return on Saturday.

That would see Antonio Rudiger and Kurt Zouma restored to the middle of the backline, with Cesar Azpilicueta more likely to feature at left-back as a result of Reece James's form on the opposite side.

The midfield should be made up of N'Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, leaving Ross Barkley to drop down to the substitutes' bench despite his goal on his return to action.

With Willian and Tammy Abraham almost certain starters, Mason Mount is likely to have to make do with a spot among the replacements.

Marcos Alonso will hope to return to the squad after missing the last two weeks with a buttock injury.
