Chelsea reportedly fear that defender Ben Chilwell will miss the rest of the season with the knee injury that he sustained against Juventus on Tuesday night.

Chelsea reportedly fear that defender Ben Chilwell suffered a serious knee injury against Juventus on Tuesday night.

While the Blues produced one of their best performances of the Thomas Tuchel era, an air of disappointment accompanied the adulation of prevailing by a 4-0 scoreline at Stamford Bridge.

Chilwell needed to be helped off the pitch during the second half, and Tuchel acknowledged after the game that he was concerned about the England international.

Ahead of the results of a scan on Wednesday, The Sun claims that Chelsea feel that the 24-year-old may have suffered an ACL injury.

Should that prove to be the case, Chilwell would almost certainly spend the rest of the campaign on the sidelines.

The injury is a significant blow to both player and club, Chilwell having starred on his 10 appearances in the Premier League and Champions League this season.
