Ramires out for Chelsea against Aston Villa

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho confirms that Ramires will miss Saturday's match against Aston Villa with a groin injury that could keep him sidelined for three weeks.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Ramires is his side's only injury worry ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

The Brazilian midfielder picked up a groin injury during last weekend's 1-1 draw with champions Manchester City and is expected to miss a few more weeks with the problem.

Mourinho confirmed that Ramires would not be available for the Champions League tie with Sporting Lisbon next week, nor would he be fit in time for the London derby against Arsenal next weekend.

However, the Portuguese boss is hopeful of having him back for the match against Crystal Palace after the international break in October.

Mourinho also confirmed that striker Diego Costa, who has already netted seven times since his summer move to the club, will start the match at Stamford Bridge.
