Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has denied claims by goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois that Petr Cech is on the verge of retirement.
Thibaut, who was loaned out to Atletico Madrid soon after he was signed by the Premier League club over the summer, claimed that the Chelsea number one's career was being hampered by back and knee injuries.
However, Villas-Boas was quick to put an end to such speculation.
"A statement has come out from Courtois's people and agent," he said. "He has been misled on his information and he was unfortunate in his quotes. End of story."
The Blues make the short trip to Queens Park Rangers in the Premier League on Sunday.
