Andreas Christensen has claimed that Chelsea's loan system has worked out 'perfectly' for him.
The defender, who has been part of the Blues fold since 2012, spent two seasons on a temporary spell at Borussia Monchengladbach before being welcomed into Antonio Conte's team.
So far in the 2017-18 campaign, the 21-year-old has started eight games in all competitions, including the recent 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.
At the moment, Chelsea youngsters Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham are under the spotlight, with the pair currently on loan at Crystal Palace and Swansea City respectively.
"It's different for every player," Christensen told Sky Sports News. "I was in the right place at the right time, everything just clicked and it was perfect for me.
"That's the most important thing for the players that go out on loan. They have to find what's working for them and the perfect environment for them to develop.
"When I was on loan I took the opportunity to come back to London sometimes to watch the games and go into the dressing room after so everyone knew what was happening with my career which was a good feeling."
Christensen first appeared for the Chelsea first team in 2013.
