Andrej Kramaric: "I rejected Chelsea"

Andrej Kramaric says that he rejected a move to Chelsea in order to play first-team football at Leicester City.

Leicester City striker Andrej Kramaric has admitted that he turned down a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a switch to the Blues, but he instead chose to join Leicester as he felt that he wouldn't have been involved in many games.

"I never had a chance to meet Jose Mourinho, it is true there was an option for me to join Chelsea," Kramaric told Vecemji List.

"It wasn't an easy decision for me, but after I heard I was supposed to go on loan somewhere outside England, I rejected Chelsea and chose Leicester because I wanted to feel real football, I wanted to play in Premier League!

"I've played against Man United, Man City and Arsenal, and I am not impressed at all by their strength. Chelsea is one step ahead of all the others."

Kramaric has scored one goal in the Premier League since joining the Foxes.
