Jose Mourinho: 'Chelsea building for next 10 years'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho says that the club is building a squad for the next 10 years.

Jose Mourinho has said that Chelsea are working to build a squad that will serve them for the next 10 years.

The Blues are closing in on the Premier League title, with a four-point lead and two games in hand over second-placed Arsenal ahead of their match against Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.

"We are building a team for a long time, for the next 10 years. That is the objective. More important than my team is Chelsea's future," Goal quotes the manager as saying.

"[Roman Abramovich] is good for Chelsea, good for English football, good for European football. Chelsea because of him have become a strength, a top club in the country and a top club in Europe.

"The decision to accept the rules and play under the rules I think is a big decision compared with other clubs and other owners that didn't accept the rules and didn't want to play under the rules."

Chelsea have not lost in the league since New Year's Day, when they were beaten by London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
