British businessman Nick Candy is keen for a Chelsea supporter to join the club's board should his takeover bid prove successful.
Candy is one of several names in the hat to take control of the club from sanctioned owner Roman Abramovich, who was also disqualified as director last week.
The property developer is confirmed to be readying an offer for the European champions, and the boyhood Chelsea supporter was in attendance to see Thomas Tuchel's side beat Newcastle United 1-0 on Sunday.
A spokesperson for Candy said: "Should his bid be successful, Mr Candy would advocate for a fan representative to join the board so supporters become part of the decision-making process.
"Mr Candy cares hugely about the future of the club and believes that the fans and the community are central to its continued success."
Candy has already committed to providing a lifeline loan to Chelsea - should the UK Government approve the cash injection - amid concerns over the club's financial future.
