John Terry was planning to announce his retirement from international football after this summer's Euros.

John Terry intended to announce his international retirement after Euro 2012, according to The Mirror.

The Chelsea captain is charged for allegedly racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, during a fixture in October.

Blues bosses wrote to the court last Wednesday to ask for Terry's case to be delayed until after England's Euro 2012 campaign.

The request was granted, but it prompted the FA to remove Terry from his role as England captain on Friday.

Terry is said to be considering his international future.
