Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will reportedly only take up Inter Milan's job offer if they agree to make him the highest-paid manager in Serie A.
The 49-year-old has been out of work for nearly a whole year after being sacked by the Blues last summer.
Conte, who won the Premier League and FA Cup during his two seasons at Stamford Bridge, has been linked with several clubs over the past nine months.
According to the Daily Mail, Inter are the side most serious about bringing Conte back to the Italian top flight, but the 49-year-old is demanding a £9m annual salary after tax.
Should the Nerazzurri agree to that, Conte will overtake Juventus's Massimiliano Allegri - allegedly on £7.5m a year - as the best-paid manager in the division.
Inter are 27 points behind league leaders Inter and are expected to part company with current boss Luciano Spalletti in the summer.
