Callum Hudson-Odoi returns to the Chelsea starting lineup for the Boxing Day clash with Aston Villa.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has returned to the Chelsea starting lineup for the Boxing Day clash with Aston Villa.

The winger, along with Romelu Lukaku, have both missed the last three matches due to coronavirus, but the pair are in a position to return for the game in the West Midlands.

Andreas Christensen and Hakim Ziyech have also shaken off injuries to take their place on the substitutes' bench.

Meanwhile, the most notable absentee for Villa is that of John McGinn, who is assumed to be one of several players who have recently tested positive for coronavirus.

Ashley Young misses out through injury, giving Steven Gerrard, also absent through coronavirus, an opportunity to recall Danny Ings.

Aston Villa: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett; Sanson, Luiz, Ramsey; Buendia, Ings, Watkins
Substitutes: Steer, Tuanzebe, Hause, Iroegbunam, Chukwuemeka, Traore, Trezeguet, El Ghazi, Davis
