Ajax are reportedly hoping to re-sign right-back Sergino Dest from Barcelona this summer in exchange for Noussair Mazraoui and Nicolas Tagliafico.
Mazraoui and Tagliafico are both being tipped to complete moves to Camp Nou ahead of the 2022-23 season as Barca prepare for life without Dani Alves and Jordi Alba.
The Catalan giants signed Dest from Ajax back in 2020 for £18.9m, but the USA international is already being linked with an exit amid reported interest from Chelsea.
According to Fichajes, Ajax have resigned themselves to losing Mazraoui and Tagliafico at the end of the season but will propose an exchange with Barcelona in order to welcome Dest back to the club.
The report adds that such a deal will be a difficult one for the Eredivisie giants to pull off, but they would rather try to reach some sort of agreement with the Catalans instead of allowing Mazraoui to head to the Premier League with Aston Villa, Leicester City or Everton.
Dest previously scored two goals and set up six more in 38 games for Ajax before moving to Barcelona, where he has three assists to his name from 19 games this term.
