Antonio Rudiger would reportedly still prefer to extend his contract at Chelsea, rather than entertain a transfer elsewhere.
Despite his status as a key player at Stamford Bridge, Rudiger has just seven months remaining on his contract having failed to agree fresh terms.
Previous reports have claimed that the Germany international remains unhappy with the pay increase offered to him, instead calling for what he believes to be a more accurate representation of his status under Thomas Tuchel.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 28-year-old is not prepared to sign a new contract unless he is made an improved offer.
Nevertheless, the Italian journalist says that Rudiger's preference is still to stay at the European champions, rather than take up a lucrative deal at another top club.
Aware that they can hold discussions with Rudiger as soon as January, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are all said to be monitoring the situation.
