Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's proposed transfer from Barcelona to Chelsea could reportedly be in doubt after the forward suffered a broken jaw during the armed robbery of his home.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's proposed transfer from Barcelona to Chelsea could reportedly be in doubt due to an injury sustained when his house was robbed.

The 33-year-old was robbed on Sunday after four armed men broke into his house and threatened the Barcelona player and his wife Alysha Behague.

According to The Athletic, Aubameyang sustained a broken jaw during a struggle with the intruders, which is expected to sideline the forward for a number of weeks.

The report states it is currently unclear whether the jaw injury could affect Aubameyang's proposed move to Chelsea.

Talks are currently ongoing over a potential deal, but no agreement has been reached between the two clubs or with the Gabon international on personal terms.

Aubameyang has only played eight minutes in Barcelona's opening three La Liga games after falling behind summer signing Robert Lewandowski in the pecking order.
