Demba Ba: 'Fernando Torres may have to leave Chelsea'

Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba says that Fernando Torres may have to leave the club to find happiness.

Fernando Torres may have to leave Chelsea to find happiness, according to former teammate Demba Ba.

The Besiktas striker said that the Spaniard, who failed to make the squad for last weekend's 2-0 win over Leicester City, is unlikely to be satisfied with substitute appearances for the Blues this season.

"I wish Fernando the best, I just wish he is going to find happiness," The Mirror quotes Ba as saying. "It will be hard [to find it at Chelsea]. I don't know where he will be happy but I just want him to have happiness because he is a nice guy.

"It is difficult, because what I like to do is play football. It's hard when you are always on the bench but you just have to keep your head up and work hard.

"Of course it's more important to play. People think footballers are happy to just take money, but we are in training every day, every single day we are working hard."

Torres is reportedly close to joining Serie A side AC Milan on loan.
