Barcelona president Joan Laporta has seemingly confirmed that the club have agreed deals to sign Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen this summer.
Both players are due to become free agents at the end of the season, with Kessie rejecting AC Milan's contract offers and reportedly already completing his medical with Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Christensen's Chelsea deal cannot be renewed while sanctions on current owner Roman Abramovich are in place, and Laporta has all but confirmed reports claiming that the duo will imminently arrive at Camp Nou.
Speaking to RAC1, Laporta said: "We've completed two signings for the next season. One is a midfielder, the other one is a centre back. But I'm not allowed to mention their names."
Christensen has racked up 156 appearances for Chelsea since 2018 but has only started 14 Premier League games this term, while Kessie has five goals from 23 Serie A matches for the table-topping Rossoneri in the 2021-22 campaign.
While Kessie and Christensen appear to be on their way to Catalonia, Laporta has ruled out the possibility of Lionel Messi returning to the club from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
