Barcelona are allegedly keen to strike a deal for Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso in the summer transfer market.
The Spaniard was handed a few more opportunities at Stamford Bridge after Thomas Tuchel took control of the reins from Frank Lampard, but he remains second in the pecking order behind Ben Chilwell.
With Alonso's contract set to expire at the end of the 2022-23 campaign, the 30-year-old is understandably being linked with an exit while he continues to play second fiddle to Chilwell.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have identified Alonso as an ideal summer signing, as the Catalan giants' current left-backs in Jordi Alba and Junior Firpo are both facing uncertain futures at the club.
The report claims that Barca already reached an agreement in principle with Alonso during the January window, although a move ultimately failed to materialise, and Inter Milan could battle La Blaugrana for the defender's signature.
The Spaniard featured just 17 times for the Blues in all competitions last term - scoring two goals in the Premier League - and he was an unused substitute for the Champions League final win over Manchester City.
