David Luiz reportedly returns to the top of Barcelona's transfer wishlist following their failed attempts to land Thiago Silva.

Barcelona are reportedly back in the market for Chelsea defender David Luiz following their failed attempts to sign Thiago Silva from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian, who recently claimed that he does not want to leave Stamford Bridge, was linked to the Spanish champions just a matter of weeks ago.

While Barca initially wanted Silva, they have now placed Luiz as their top target, according to Sport.

Recent reports had claimed that Chelsea are willing to offload Luiz in a cash-plus-player deal with Manchester United for Wayne Rooney, but the rumours were swiftly dismissed by the Blues.
