Chelsea and Barcelona have reportedly been handed a boost in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko.
With his contract expiring in the summer, the young star could be available in January for a cut-price fee or even as a free agent come the summer.
According to SportBILD, Dortmund have made a final contract offer to the teenager worth £5.3m, but remain about £1m apart in their valuations.
Both Chelsea and Barca have invested in younger signings in recent times and Moukoko would be a high-profile young talent who could be a key player for years.
Chelsea can add to the signings of Cesare Casadei, Carney Chukwuemeka, Omari Hutchinson and Gabriel Slonina and the Spanish side can look to build a team around Gavi, Pedri, Moukoko and Ansu Fati.
The 18-year-old has become a key player for his club this year, scoring and assisting six times each in 22 appearances.
